Worship The Lord Jesus

In Jesus Is True Joy!

This post is such a wonderful blessing! I agree with the author. I’m done! Lord, I surrender all to You!

Look, the Lord your God has set the land before you; go up and possess it, as the Lord God of your fathers has spoken to you; do not fear or be discouraged.’ –Deuteronomy 1:21

The Lord really spoke to me through this verse with possessing the land representing God’s peace and rest which we are commanded to enter and to not be afraid or discouraged in doing so. I feel like so many of us are believers but we play this half world, half kingdom balancing act. Many of our thoughts and concepts are still very worldly and in this we limit God. We limit God by not allowing Him to be a part of every single little aspect of our life. We still think of incidents in life as chance. There is no chance when you are a disciple of Christ. There are consequences of your decisions and…

  2. Hi John there is much confusion about the flesh which causes us to sin, this is why we are to seek for God’s wisdom with all our heart instead of Trusting in man’s fleshy understanding, logic, and reasoning.

The Bible tells us that The Sabbath was used to remember God’s rest which is in Christ Jesus because as the Scriptures tell us He is the fulfilment of the Sabbath when we are in Him we have His rest we don’t have to work for it or strive for it is found in Him, but first we have to put our flesh to death because we cannot keep it under control and it will never submit and if it is not put to death we do not have God’s Peace.

Colossians 3:4-6 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

Galations 24 -26 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

2 Corinthians 7: 1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Romans 8 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. or if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Colossians 2:16-17 – Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day -These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

Hebrews 4:8-10 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.

Christian Love and Blessings from us both – Anne
